GULMI: CPN-UML politburo member Pradip Gyawali today asked Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to step down from his post to pave the way for national consensus.
“It would be better if Bhattarai resigns from the post rather than be labelled as an incompetent PM in the country’s history, he said, adding that, he even failed to hold the Constituent Assembly election declared by himself.
Speaking at an interaction programme organised in Gulmi, Gyawali said that the major challenges of the country at present are Unified Maoist and especially incumbent Prime Minister Bhattari’s inability to understand the seriousness of the situation and the trend to stick in the power.
Claiming that the unity among the parties started form 12-point-agreement has been at the danger at present, he informed that UML has expressed its views to restart the disrupted journey of agreement.
He clarified that UML was ready to take the responsibility of the present crisis if Congress was not ready. “Party has decided that KP Oli would lead that responsibility.”
Telling that political parties had decided to form
the upcoming government under the leadership of Congress on May 3, he asked Nepali Congress to
be serious on that.
