22 Magh 2013, The District Hospital of Gulmi has been listed as the best hospital in Lumbini zone after its quality health service to the public.

A total of 58,000 persons have received health service from this hospital in a year. Although the hospital was permitted 15 beds, it has been running 30 beds and providing quality service to the public, said Dr Hari Bahadur KC, Medical Superintendent of the hospital.

The hospital has been receiving assistance from the NICK Simons Institute on safe motherhood service for three years. Till date, 240 deliveries have been conducted with operation here.

Dr. KC further said efforts were on to add more beds in the hospital, and study for this was also carried out by the government body. RSS
